The Smooth Snake is the UK's rarest reptile. It's not venomous and is pretty harmless. This one was photographed in May 2008 at the side of the A31 near to Ferndown, but we do get them on Corfe Hills, Barrow Hills and Upton Heath. So keep your eyes peeled just remember not to touch or disturb them (as they are legally protected) |
